Nothing’s Forgotten – Vestfold HC Demo

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

this sounds like old sk00l hardcore like Minor Threat, Government Issue, Guerilla Biscuits and Iron Cross – mixed with those modern mainstream rockers influenced by 80s alternative bands. you know who I’m talking about. blink-182, Anti-Flag, and especially A Fire Inside (pre Sing the Sorrow). it’s also definitely reminiscent of the current Norwegian hardcore/screamo scene, and kind of reminds me of Death Is Not Glamorous, Raging Fugitives and even Dominic at the slower parts and with the vocals. but the contemporary bands that would make the most sense comparing to Nothing’s Forgotten would be Striking Distance and Modern Life Is War. the music has distorted guitars playing fast, melodic, haunting riffs. combine this with upbeat drums, a melodic bass that accompany the guitars brilliantly, shouted vocals and sing-a-long lyrics – and you’ve got awesomage. (don’t let the vegan themes scare you. if I as an anarchist can listen to nsbm, meat eaters can listen to this.) you don’t want to miss this gem!
