more ultra-heavy black metal from Norway. there’s more drone/doom-influenced black metal with drop tuned guitars, but this time there’s some semi-fast (well not slow as hell (pun intended) like they were at all times on the previous Faustcoven album I upped) guitar solos with upbeat (fast even!) war drums. shrieked Burzum-ish vocals and whatnot. this has it all. all that you would want from black metal. not as incredibly depressing and dark as the previous album, but all the more diverse.
