with their second release, Celeste moves into black metal territory. fusing two genres that are thought to be almost polar opposites: screamo and black metal. (okay, there are screamo/metal bands out there. there are even punk/black metal bands. but this is *screamo/black metal*. that’s not like, the most common fusing ever.) but after listening to this album, you will most certainly not view the genres as opposites. not at all. they go hand in hand, forging a union of might and power. every bit as mesmerizing as the previous release, «this music is too dreamy». and the black metal influences will have you bobbing your head even harder this time around. almost… *yikes* – headbanging. like a proper metalhead. so if you’re really into punk but hate metal (for some obscure reason), this might be your gateway into the grandiose metal genre. if you’re into metal – consider this your entry to the rawness of punk rock. if you’re into both… well then you obviously put this on repeat. also be sure to check out Uranus, Iskra, One Eyed God Prophecy, The Spectacle, Manhattan Skyline and other punk bands with metal influences. but first: download this album. it’s a heavy mother fucker of an album. it rips. get it.
